On itunes the song only plays for seven seconds?

I downloaded a few songs on beemp3.com and I know that the song is only valid for a day so I burned a cd and then imported them back into my computer so they'd stay. Now when I try playing any of the songs i downloaded, they play for seven seconds and then it just goes mute. What happened?
